Since kinja doesn't allow any sort of public description to be attached onto user profiles and since the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! from a while back were kind of all over the place, I thought I'd revamp the biographical posts to be more concrete. Here's what I've included:
-Avatar as first image (for ease of navigating people's bios)
-"bio" tag
-current cars that I drive
-previous cars I've driven
-what I do for a living, what I'd like to do for a living realistically/wishfully
-favorite cars/ cars I plan to own one day
-answers in the comments from any point in time to any questions you might have about me; that way the profiles stay dynamic. Plus they can be edited so you can easily update at any point in time.
So without further ado, my profile bio
My current stable of cars includes:
'07 Mustang GT with bolt ons. Plans for the car include supercharging, and some custom bodywork for the rear.
'00 7.3 powerstroke F350 with a manuel and updated front end fascia. No plans for this truck, it's perfect
-and a beater '02 CRV (also a stick, don't own any auto's)
Previous cars in my stable:
'86 MkII Supra with suspension upgrades
What I do for a living:
I'm a biochemist
What I'd like to do for a living:
Jet fighter pilot, F1 driver, or some other profession where I pilot a machine that might kill me.
Favorite cars:
Mclaren F1, Diablo GT, 993 GT2. Riviera Boattail
Cars I will own one day, realistically:
FD rx7, Buick Riviera, a t-top car
I also call on offroadkarter, if he reads this, to do a bio because he's got a supercharged maurauder, a bronco, and a sharkskin colored e23 7 series which is the coolest garage of cars I could imagine and it'd be cool if he told oppo about them (if he hasn't already).
Also, if you have put work into an introduction previously, going back and adding the unused as of yet "bio" tag is also an option. Thanks for checking out my bio!

yeah I know he and coalminer have some pretty super cars. They kind of have a reputation already though. What do you drive? Think you'll make a bio?

Nice Mustang. Is it manual? Those wheels/tires look huge.

uhhh..."drive"...uhhh
I'm in university living on campus. In the summer I'm at home where I have my bike. I dont "drive" per say :P
I'm probably going to do a bio sooner or later. I just came up with an idea for that bike series that ive been doing that pretty much set me up for the rest of the school year in terms of # of articles...might sneak the bio in there sooner or later

Yes it is manual. Haha yeah the tires are a little oversized on the front. 275 all around. Great for autocross, not so much for around town. But it seems the only kinds of mods I get are the ones that make my car less drivable; heavy clutch, heavy shifter, cams... probably because it's what I imagine it's like to drive a racecar.

Well even if you don't have a car you could always say things like what cars/bikes interest you, talk about what you do or would like to do. I kept the opponauts without cars in mind. It's a flexible formula, but the key is organizing it around a common tag and making it easy to locate with an avatar image and title containing your handle. Even if you make a short intro for now, you could come back and update it later.

yea. I'll get around to it before halloween, thats for sure. Just need to get some mid terms out of the way first

You even have the '08+ tow mirrors! That truck is perfect. The Mustang isn't too bad either. I'm sure the CR-V is fun to torture.

about the machine control occupation, it all becomes a job at some time if the rest of life and money isn't balanced. I'm going through that now. With that said I dig your rides and garage wishes.

I've been thinking about getting new rims for my Mustang, with 275 tires, but then I think it would make it more difficult to drift. 420 hp is plenty of power to drift with 275 tires, but I like how it slides so easily with my current 245s all season. I also think it would make the car less nimble. How did you feel your car after changing to wider tires?

Dude you got a 5.0? Wicked! You see, if there was a who's who of people's profiles, I'd be able to go check out your mustang. You should make a bio post to tell everyone about it. I'm guessing it's so far stock if you're on all seasons, but tell me what color is it?
As for the tires, the car will definitely be more nimble with wide summer compound, if that's what you get. I'd say about half the handling characteristics a car has depend on the tires and for bigger cars like mustangs, wider is better. It's true though, drifting becomes a lot trickier because, while it's not hard to kick the back end out, if you suddenly let up and catch traction while pointed in the wrong direction, that's the direction you're gonna go. Ever wonder how the guys peeling out of car shows manage to fuck it up? Wide grippy tires and inexperience. No more smooth, low speed transitions essentially. But given a wide empty street with no need to let off the throttle suddenly, it becomes very fun to do higher speed slides.

Ok you officially know my truck better than me haha. The crv was bought new and its at 150k miles currently. Great car except Honda charges an arm and a leg for Japanese parts if and when I buy from them.

Yeah, Kinja really needs have the ability to add a profile to each user. I really want see how it would handle with wide summer tires, as it handles really well with the current tires. I actually did write a kind of Intro . Here's a photo of my 5.0:
It's stock, just with boss side exhaust and Roush ABs.

Damn that exhaust was discontinued so it's become a rare item, go figure. Must sound super nice. I highly recommend tires as your next upgrade or an intake with tune seeing as it'll make the throttle response a little more sporty and unlock some airflow hp. And summer compound if you don't winter drive. It lasts longer, grips better, looks better. If you have the spare coin, keep the stock wheels and use them for drift spares.
Could you do me a favor and add "introduction" and "bio" tags to your well written intro post. It'd be cool if all the oppo regulars had a place to send their intros, I think I'll try hunting down previous intro posts and getting the authors to add tags.

Yeah, wheels/tires are most definitely the next upgrade. Regarding engine mods, my car has a 6 year warranty, so I cannot mess with anything engine related. Not that I even need to increase power, it has more than enough.

True, although I don't think playing with timing and throttle response voids the warranty. You should look into it, it's not so much a power mod as much as it is a more sportier throttle response. Also if you do get a handheld tuner, flashing the ecu back to stock settings is always an option if you take it into the dealership for warranty related work. Lots of people do it, there's a wealth of information on forums. I feel like I'm trying to push drugs.

Very Nice. now let me tell you about my mustang . its a 2008 V6 (so not the big deal). It has a cold air intake and a tune. A short shifter that rattles when you WOT.( havent fixed that). And my most recent mod are some new tail lights that i do recommend.
Here's my car, its the white one. ( GT500 fascia, it came with it when i bought it)
The grey 5.0 is from a friend who is also on oppo.
The CAI made a whole lot of difference.

sweet car bro. One of the things I love about mustangs is you can build up either the v8 or v6 since most of the factory parts on either car can stand to be replaced. Looks like you got a sweet look, now just supercharge the sixxer and mission accomplished (or trade up which is always more logical unless you're unable to part with your car like me)

I wish, i dont have money for a SC. But a realistic mod could be gears + LSD. Thats what this car needs right now. But I dont think i can install that myslef, and the installation on a shop, might be expensive.

Diablo GT is the ultimate supercar and my favourite :) That's a pic of a GTR ;)
